Here’s my latest makeup haul 🙂 I’ve been wanting to get a new foundation for a while and I wasn’t sure which brand to go for. I’ve been using Clarins’ foundation previously but I felt that it made me a bit yellow instead of blending in with my colour. I wanted to find something that could cover any red spots if needed and also give a natural look. I tried the foundation when I was in the store along with Smashbox’s Photo Finish Foundation Primer. It made my skin feel very smooth before applying the foundation.
After applying the foundation I didn’t find it too heavy on my face and it’s actually buildable so if I wanted more coverage I could simply build it. It’s a light to medium coverage foundation and I usually don’t need too much coverage so it works perfect for me . I don’t really like building too many layers of make up so I am glad that this one I only need like two layers to fully cover my red areas. It have a decent smell which isn’t too strong which I love about this 🙂 It has SPF 15 and is oil-free. Been using it for a few weeks now and it actually stays on for the whole day. It gives the skin a natural glow. To top up everything, this foundation is an award winning foundation from 2013 ! Along with the foundation I got the tester size of the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I think this would be my next purchase from Smashbox 🙂
I have been using Clarins for around two years now and they never really let me down. I like their products very much. I read about the Instant light radiance boosting complexsion base and I was very tempted to try it out since I’ve heard many good reviews about it. It’s a base that brightens the compelxion and corrects the skin tone. You can wear it alone or under a foundation. It gives the skin radiance. Sometimes I use it to highlight after I applied foundation as well and it gives a very natural glow that stays all day. It makes the skin look healthy and radiant. Along with the base I also got the Instand Smooth Perfecting Touch Primer and Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in the colour of Rosewood Shimmer. I have heard many many good reviews about Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting touch primer. It’s even an award winning primer. I have been wanting a new primer for a while and I wasn’t sure which one and no doubt this purchase was worth it. This primer leaves the skin flawless and smooth. It’s oil-free and covers up blemishes, lines and pores. So far… Perfect that’s all I have to say 🙂
I really like the Instand light natural lip perfector, it moisturizes, nourishes and protects my lips and it leaves a very shiny natural colour on my lips. It’s the type of product I carry everyday with me in my handbag.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my latest makeup haul 🙂 I hope to do more of these soon !
